Johor Darul Ta'zim
The name Johor comes from the Arabic word ‘Jauhar’ which means ‘Precious Gem’. Johor is also known as Hujung Tanah (edge of a land) or ‘Gangganu’ by the Siamese referring to ‘Gemstone’ The history of modern Johor began under the rule of Sultan Abu Bakar who introduced the Johor Constitution and subsequently brought about changes mostly in the more administration of the state of Johor. Today, the state located in the south of Peninsular Malaysia with an area of 19,166 square KM is constantly witnessing development and progress in terms of economy, lifestyle, and also tourism. This district with a population density of 3.79 million has received at least 8 million tourists annually.
The state of Johor, located in the south of Peninsular Malaysia, is the main gateway to Malaysia via Singapore, thus stealing the attention of tourists from within and outside the country. This great state not only thriving in terms of development and modernization but is also graced with beautiful island and beaches as well as biodiversity landscapes that have been preserved for thousands of years.
