His real name is Bandahara Tun Abdul Majid Tun Habab (Habib) Padang Saujana Johor, became the treasurer during the reign of Sultan Ibrahim Shah I and continued during the reign of Sultan Mahmud Shah II. Then he was installed as the 11th Sultan of Johor after the death of Sultan Mahmud Shah II without any heirs.
