The people in Muar call this mosque as Masjid Sultan Ibrahim 2 because all the features found here are a replica of Masjid Jamek Sultan Ibrahim (MJSI) on the other side of the river, only it is built bigger, wider, taller & more majestic.
From Tangkak to the town of Muar it is on the right side of the road before crossing the Sultan Ismail bridge (the first bridge). Its position is opposite to Jamek Sultan Ibrahim Mosque on the other side of the river. This mosque is said to be able to accommodate approximately 5000 worshipers at a time.
