The Johor state government, through Tourism Johor and Majestic Johor Tourism Sdn. Bhd., unveiled the official mascot, tagline, song, and video at the Johor Zoo in conjunction with Visit Johor Year 2026 (VJY2026). The event was officiated by Dato’ Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor.
Cuping and Jucy, the two striped tigers (Panthera tigris), were unveiled as the official mascots. Cuping, a male tiger born in 2013, represents the Johorean people’s fortitude, tenacity, and spirit of battle, while Jucy, a female tiger born in 2018, represents the Johorean people’s grace, friendliness, and hospitality.
Both serve as Johor’s little ambassadors, representing the harmony of power and tenderness, and the state’s official face when it comes to greeting visitors during Visit Johor Year 2026.
To further enhance the Visit Johor Year 2026 campaign, the Johorean people’s openness and friendliness in welcoming guests is embodied in the state’s slang phrase, “Meh Lah Johor,” which translates to “Come to Johor”.
The song “Pesona Johor,” or “Charming Johor,” by the nationally acclaimed singer Aina Abdul, was chosen as the official song of Visit Johor Year 2026. It highlights the uniqueness of the state’s culture, art, and tourism offerings as well as the quirks of ten districts.
The unveiling served as the catalyst for the Visit Johor Year 2026 campaign, which aims to attract 12 million tourists and generate over RM42 billion in potential income due to the recent surge in visitor numbers.
This launch is the curtain raiser for the Visit Johor Year 2026 summit, which will be held on 14th December 2025 at Dataran MBJB.
Also present were Dato’ Haji Asman Shah Abd. Rahman, Johor State Secretary, and Mohammad Nazrul Abd. Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor.
